BUGS!

Tis' the season for... BUGS!


Lately I have heard lots of talk about bugs that are appearing in our homes and even in the school (YIKES). We have had many discussion about spring time and that it brings out the pretty flowers, birds, and, unfortunately, the bugs!


While learning all about bugs this week we will also be finishing up our data collection on spatial concepts (location words: over, under, between, behind, inside, out, etc.). We will begin to work on book skills. This is the skill that looks at the preschool goal of answering simple questions about a story being read by identifying a picture. For the pre-k goal a student can make a logical prediction about a story being read (What do you think is going to happen now? Where are they going to go? How is she going to feel about that? etc.).

-- Wednesday is Nurse Appreciation Day! :)
-- May 13 - PSG Meeting at 6:30 at the BECC
-- May 15 - Class Field Trip to So Italian
   AM class will be going at 9:30    PM class will be going at 1: 30

-- May 16 Relay For Life - Saturday 9 am - Sunday 9am - Please join our community at the annual Relay for Life of Brownsburg. BECC staff will be there and Ms. Newingham will even be in the dunk tank! We will have Ice Barn available at our booth along with a cool color changing BECC cup. Please be on the look out for more information! We would love to see familiar faces supporting such a great cause!

   Wednesday 20 - USA Day
   Thursday 21 and Friday 22 - Classroom COLOR WARS! Our class color is orange!

-- May 25 - No School in observance of Memorial Day
