Grocery Store

Good afternoon!
I hope that everyone enjoyed their 3 day weekend. I sure needed an extra day to sleep in a little bit :)

This week we will be discussing the grocery store. Our house area has been transformed into a grocery stocked with recycled boxes, grocery carts, and shopping lists. So fun! The kiddos will also enjoy working in the "Math" area, counting fruits and vegetables into the correct numbered cans. We will work on our cutting skills by cutting out pictures from the Kroger ad and gluing them onto paper. On Wednesday we will work on sorting foods by color and by food group. You may also "catch wind" of a story about the Chocolate Chip Ghost on Thursday. This will be a fun, short week!

I would like to thank all  of the volunteers for our class Valentine parties! They were a hit. Everyone had such great games and crafts planned.

A few reminders:
- Is your child "graduating" from pre-k this year? If so, we are in need of men's, small white t-shirts for a graduation project. Please send in one (or a pack of 3) labeled with your child's name, as soon as possible.
- Are you free on Friday mornings or afternoons? Our PSG is in need of parent helpers in our work room. You would be helping with laminating, cutting, and assembly of projects for the BECC teachers. We would appreciate any help that we can get!
- Be on the look out for a parent volunteer from and permission slip for your child to attend a Field Trip to So Italian this Spring. If you are interested in helping assist us in walking over, we would love to have you.
- Mark your calendars for the first annual Spring Fling on April 17th here at the BECC. Tickets will be $5 and will cover dinner (pizza, drink, and snow cone). We will have an auction, games, and more!
