It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas... in our classroom! 15 more week days until Christmas Break... not that I'm counting! ;)
The kiddos were pretty excited to walk into class today to see that our room was decorated. We also had a special friend "delivered" to us from Santa. That's right! We have an Elf on the Shelf here in the classroom! Each night he reports back to Santa about who made good choices and who did not! :)
We will be finishing up book skill data collection this week. Remember that this is an easy skill to practice at home during story time. Using your finger to point to words as you read will really help with this too!
As the holidays are approaching (which is happening very quickly!) I would like to point out that I am sure to discuss and introduce Christmas, Kwanzaa, and Hanukkah. If you or your family celebrates another holiday or would like to volunteer to speak about your family traditions we would love to have you visit! Please be sure to email me to set up a time and that you have a background check on file in the front office!
