Farm

We will be discussing the farm this week! On Monday and Tuesday we will be working with patterns, counting, and number identification. On Wednesday we will be discussing our new school rules by talking about being a good helper. On Thursday and Friday we will be working with sorting and letter identification. We will also be interactively reading the story Inside a Barn in the Country.


I will be introducing a new sticker/behavior chart to go along with our new school rules. When children demonstrate these qualities they will receive a sticker at the end of the day. I have also bought a reward basket! When the sticker chart is full, children will be able to choose a prize from the basket! I am so excited for these "Super Sticker Charts"!


Important Information:
-- Please be aware that our cubbies are VERY small. With the winter approaching (too quickly), it is important that your child's backpack contains as little as possible. Only the important things please!
-- Also, continue working on their independence of the dressing and undressing of winter gear.
-- I will be sending home your child's extra clothing from the beginning of the school year. Most of the clothes were summer - I kept the pants, underwear and socks. Please be sure to send in new, weather appropriate clothing in a gallon Ziploc bag! :)
-- Book Orders will be due November 21. If you would like to order books as a gift, please be sure to let me know so that I can send them home secretly!
-- We will be selling Butter Braids very soon. This will be a fundraiser for our Relay for Life team. These are great desserts to order right before Winter Break for your holiday parties!
-- KEEP COLLECTING THOSE BOX TOPS! :)
